A week or so ago I discussed thrift stores and how even though they have gotten pricey, I still can and do find bargains, like this $7 chair (I also got the mirror on it for $4). This was most likely originally from Pottery Barn or Pier 1 and had a slick, fakey, paint finish on it. It has great bones and lines, but I knew with a little paint it could be a real beauty. In comes Azure, a new, delicious paint color from Fusion Mineral Paint. One, smooth, lovely, fast-drying coat later and that was all this thrifted chair needed to spruce it up.I distressed it lightly with 120 grit sandpaper. No clear coat finish is needed, this paint has a built in finish!I haven't decided if this chair is a keeper or a seller, but for now she is sitting here--a happy pop of color!# style="background: transparent; border: 0;" />
